Das Intranet Benchmarking Forum hat regelmäßig Aktionen wie das IBF24, in denen Mitglieder und Interessenten sich Intranets anschauen können:
IBF 24 is a 24 hour online broadcast from the Intranet Benchmarking Forum showcasing live intranet tours and the latest from industry thought leaders. The event is broadcast through Webex making it accessible for all. It is a very informal, interactive and fun event.
Vor kurzem gab es einen Wettbewerb um das „schönste“ Intranet (“My Beautiful Intranet“):
Paul Miller, IBF CEO and Founder, and James Duffy, Intranet Manager at Schroders took an early look at the entries. They saw the European Space Agency homepage as clear and allowed users to focus in on content and services easily, whilst the Océ Technologies homepage was minimalist and functional. Coca-Cola’s homepage was, as could be expected, well organised and the National Prescribing Service in Australia had taken an interesting route and had a more magazine like homepage.
Obviously beauty is subjective and it was left down to Helen Day, IBF Group Managing Director to make the ultimate decision. After careful consideration she handed the prize to Intermon Oxfam based in Barcelona for their homepage’s calm overall feel and good use of colour. The site uses a good mixture of brand colours and calm tones with lots of white background, giving a very clean feel. It is always clearly identifiable for users whom they are working for through branding. The site uses a good mix of global news and local tasks and makes text very clear for users, whilst managing to incorporate multi-language elements.
